Morning Skincare routine

Friday, 25 April 2014

I used to not be a morning person at all, I looked high and low for some tips and advice on making mornings enjoyable. I've found that getting up an hour earlier and taking the time to yourself sets you up for the day, even if you are craving your bed! My biggest priority in the morning is re-hydrating and boosting my energy, so
I start the day with a juice, smoothie or vegan protein shake ( recipe to come!) a herbal tea, and lots of fruit! Here are my tips for making mornings better:

Here's a recipe for the most delicious green smoothie that gives you such a kick of energy. Vitamins are readily available to your body with minimal digestion, full of water for rehydration too. I promise your skin will benefit!

Two Handfuls of Kale
Half a pineapple
4-5 Pears
generous amount of ginger
Squeeze of a whole lime

Blend or juice! Blending is of course more filling, This is the most fabulous blender for convenience. Breville Blend-Active Personal Blender - 300 Watt

Herbal tea is also a lovely cleansing way to start the day- my favourite is Rooibos with a squeeze of lime and a dash of sugar. You could mix it up by adding lemon and ginger, just a another lovely way of re-hydrating in the morning.

Lastly, I make sure I wear a good serum under my makeup, This achieves such a dewy healthy look. I am a massive fan of the Dr Organic serums, although I am loving my Manomai serum at the moment too which leaves skin soft and glowy.

I'm currently trialing the Dr Organic Argan stem cell serum, review to follow! It promises 6 years younger in 4 weeks  which by my calculation would give me the skin of a 17 year old! I will let you know how that goes. But in terms of an everyday finish, it leaves a lovely dewy look.

I really hope you've enjoyed this post! What's your morning routine?

  2. I have Kale Juice every morning. Sometimes it is just with green apples, ginger and lemon. When I want sweeter, I go with beets, pineapple and oranges, and ginger. I cannot get enough ginger
